Objectives:
This session will help staff to understand:
The types of seizures people can have
How to recognise a seizure
How to manage a seizure
The aftercare needed following a seizure including the current recovery position
The importance of recording information about the seizure
Assessment Information:
Each candidate will be expected to contribute fully to the session. Each candidate will be expected to demonstrate the current Recovery Position as part of their assessment.
Course Duration:
This session is designed to be delivered in 4 hours. For the purpose of the assessment of the recovery position the recommended number of participants is 12. For more than 12 a negotiation of the course times will be required.
