This course is designed as an introduction to fire safety for all employees so as to ensure they are familiar with the fire precautions and the action taken in the event of a fire in their workplace.
Upon completion, employees will be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of: -
The theory of fire.
The action to take on discovering a fire.
How to raise the alarm and knowledge of the fire procedure
The action to be taken on hearing the alarm
The importance of knowing escape routes, including those not in regular use
How to open different escape doors
The importance of keeping fire doors closed
The likely sources of heats and fuels
Recognition of fire extinguishers and their uses and the hazards some may pose
What not to do in the event of a fire
How to spot potential fire hazards
Who Should Attend?
All the employees who have never attended fire safety course.
Staff on appointment as part of the induction process.
Temporary staff or contractors.
Staff who have not attended a fire safety course for over 3 years.
Duration of Course:
The course is designed to be delivered within 3 hours
